Well...not the First Cause Argument as classically presented by Aquinas, but rather the Kalam Argument, which is slightly distinct. The Kalam Argument says, basically, that "nothing begins to exist without a cause, the universe began to exist, therefore the universe has a cause which is not the universe (since nothing can cause itself to begin to exist)." The focus in this argument is the beginning of a thing, and works to give a logical presentation to counter an Atheist worldview which would hold that either (1) the universe always existed (silly, given the developments in cosmology) or (2) a bubble-universe theory involving an infinite series of universes which explains our origin without God. This particular video focuses on the impossibility of an actual infinite number of things within space/time, and particularly an outline of Hilbert's Hotel.

As a side note, William Lane Craig is a Protestant. That said, his philosophical argument on this point, as with his other arguments regarding the historicity of the Resurrection and the logical proofs for the existence of God, are completely congruent with orthodox Catholic thought.

Can A "Beginning-less Universe" Exist?
